In today’s show I talk about dealing with depression – including Some Symptoms of Depression*
• Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness, or hopelessness
• Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration
• Loss of interest or pleasure in most normal activitives
• Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping tto much
• Tiredness and lack of energy
• Anxiety, agitation or restlessness

What Causes Depression?
Emotional distress (i.e. a broken heart)

How should I handle depression?
Pray Seek Peace Seek Guidance
Psalm 143:7
“Answer me quickly, O Lord, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will become like those who go down to the pit.”
Seek professional help

How Can I help someone who is depressed?
Be empathetic – be ready to listen to them – DON’T GIVE THEM PLATITUDES and don’t pull a “snap out of it” attitude
Romans 12:15 – “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”
Help direct them to proper care
Proverbs 25:20 – “Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar on soda, Is he who sings songs to a troubled heart.”
