Well I’m back, got bucked off for awhile, but got back up and here’s a snippet of my message today about exhaustion. The message itself runs about 8 minutes. God Bless and Peace
Back in June of 2020, I did a message about burnout, how it is so easy to become burned out. I personally was getting to that point, I felt like I had been rode hard and put away wet and didn’t want to do anything more. If you’ve followed the podcast, you know that before this one, the last one I published was in August of 2020. I want to blame it on the pandemic, but that would be nonsense, I was simply exhausted. Now it’s been almost 2 years later and it dawned on me, that maybe just maybe I wasn’t the only person who felt that way. Now it’s 2022 and I’m still not feeling like I did when I first started this as the Cowboy Gospel Hour in 2005, but I am feeling a little better, so I thought I talk about being exhausted, tired, worn out, and just flat blah.
There are many reasons why we feel tired and exhausted. The media certainly doesn’t help, with the constant bombardment of headlines designed to make us angry and emotional. The real world hasn’t pitched in either, there are wars everywhere, violence is an everyday occurrence. Trying to simply eke out a living has become as tough as climbing a mountain. We may be tired because, well let’s face facts, on a daily basis we’re all getting a little older. In 2 Corinthians 5:2 Paul writes, We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long for the day when we will put on our heavenly bodies. ….
