I don’t like change

Not even mountains live forever, change is inevitable

In today’s world, change seems to be part and parcel of lifeo. We regularly push the buttons on our radios; we use the remotes on our televisions to change channels, we get bored easily. People come and go in our lives, technology makes a change every two or three days, (at least it seems so). My life always seems to be changing, how on earth can I keep up with it all. It is important to remember that once we have a relationship with God, once we have a foundation of faith built on our relationship with God, we can breathe a little easier, because change is not as much of an issue; because God never changes. In the book of Hebrews in chapter 13 verse 8, we find “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”. When you think about it, that is a great thing, the teachings of Jesus have been with us for over 2,000 years, the teachings of God the Father have been around even longer; always consistent, always meaningful.

That thought is reinforced in Mark chapter 13 verse 31 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away”, that is a solid foundation. –Build your life on God’s word, and you will find all the answers to the question of how do you deal with change. Sometimes, it seems like change is bad, maybe we lost a job, got a divorce, had an illness, there are all sorts of things that can cause change in our lives and when that happens then it is important that we pray about it.

In Romans chapter 8 verse 28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Each of us has a distinct purpose in the life, maybe you were called to be a doctor, a nurse, a teacher, a preacher, or a person who takes pride in raising their children to be excellent adults. Whatever our role, whatever our purpose we must maintain our love of God. We cannot allow a sudden change in our life to throw us into a deep depression, we need to pray about it and see how we can use it for good. Wisdom flows from prayer, from asking the Holy Spirit to come into our lives and show us the reasons for the change and to show us how to deal with it.

Remember change in life is inevitable, with God’s help we can deal with it. God bless and peace y’all
