A Short Note About Patience

Long journeys of life require patience
“strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously” Colossians 1:11

The more we learn patience, the easier it becomes for us to live a life in harmony with others. Patience gives us the endurance to not only handle but thrive during trying times. Patience offers us a floor of hope that things will indeed get better in our lives.

Patience also gives us the chance to truly observe and understand others’ feelings. Some have patience naturally, most of us though need to work on building and reinforcing it inside. We should turn to God and ask Him to help us become more patient and to truly understand and see the importance of it in our lives.

My prayer for patience: Dear Heavenly Father, I know that you are in charge of the Universe. I know that you have a grand plan for us. Father, today first I give thanks for everything you have given me, especially your Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who lived and walked among us and died for us so that we might have eternal life. I also ask that you help grow as a person and that I become more patient with those around me. Thank you – Amen.
