Think before you act

In the book of Romans in Chapter 13, verses 4-5, Paul talking about how Christians are to behave when it comes to government, he writes, “for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.” (NASB) Now it is important to follow your conscience, after all, in Nazi Germany a good number of people who called themselves Christians committed horrible atrocities against the Jews and other minorities; and all claimed simply to be following orders.

If you think your government is evil and doing evil things, then you can change your leaders, do not be led like a lamb to the slaughter. Speak up for what is right, speak up when you see injustice, and follow the laws you are subject to, it is never OK to “take the law into your own hands”. It is always right to follow the commandments of Jesus and love your neighbor as yourself. Be kind, peace y’all
